Throughout 2021, as planning resumed for the 2022 ICC Cricket World Cup, the organising committee approached NLT to expand the existing national luxury coach contract to incorporate ground transport and logistics services for the movement of equipment, luggage, sponsor materials and team personnel across Australia.

A scope of works was rapidly developed, with NLT commencing national planning and subcontractor engagement to support the program.

In addition to providing airport–accommodation–venue transport services, the NLT team was required to deliver several bespoke logistics solutions, including:

​

• Co-ordinating the movement of team coaches between Melbourne and Hobart, including shipping arrangements with Toll Shipping. Coaches were wrapped and allocated to specific teams and transported between locations to maintain consistent service and branding.

• Delivering overnight express logistics services to move equipment between Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in preparation for next-day match operations.

• Coordinating with airline partners to advance-deploy logistics teams and vehicles across Australia, ensuring resources were pre-positioned ahead of team and equipment arrivals.

• Managing fluctuating equipment volumes, with teams carrying an average additional 10% of items in each city due to sponsorship commitments, game-day equipment and personal logistics requirements, requiring flexible truck fleets, labour and operational capacity.
